I am sometimes interested in specific players but not the teams they play for.
It would be a great feature if we could select players as favorites to follow. All the players currently exist in the app for their teams, but it would be cool if we could easily see how our favorite players did in today's match, whether they scored or got an assist, etc.
Or even if followed players caused their teams game to show up as a favorite match for that day without having to actually follow that team (Ex. As an American fan, I love following the progress of our promising young players across the world, and would like to be able to follow, say Josh Sargent, without having to follow Werder Bremen II in the Regionallia.)

Also add notifications for the player when he plays, e.g. "Eden Hazard is confirmed in the lineup - the game starts in about XX minutes / the game starts a 4PM"

I'd like to easily see if players from my country are playing and if they score / make an assist, from the list of matches.
For example, I could have a setting of highlighting Danish players, so Tottenham would have a small Danish flag if Eriksen played and maybe a flag with a ball if he scored.
Relevant only for non-domestic competition.

Hey Matt! Thanks so much for posting this, are currently working on something we believe will fix this problem, a player follow feature.
I will mark it as 'In Progress' and when its ready it will be marked as 'complete'. We hope our solution goes some way to solving your problem
